Class infoRMATION
We cater for all abilities from non-swimmers through to highly competent swimmers.
All the classes are 30 minutes duration with a maximum of eight swimmers per class. Non-swimmers and beginners are generally in smaller groups and they usually have a teacher in the water to help build confidence.
On Tuesday mornings at The Dolphin Haywards Heath, improvers swim widths or lengths according to ability, working on all strokes, turns and water skills, and for the more proficient and advanced swimmers, we have length classes at 9.00am, 9.30am and 11.30am working up to competition level. At Ardingly College on a Friday 25m lengths are available to all swimmers, but beginners stay in the shallow water until ready to progress deeper.
On poolside our teachers wear a light blue polo shirt showing either our logo or a club badge. We are all A.S.A. trained and aim to teach to a very high standard with understanding and patience given to all abilities, allowing each person to develop confidence and improve technique at their own pace.
Many ladies have found their health, as well as fitness and self-confidence, has improved during the time spent having swimming lessons with us.
We have classes during term time only, which is an advantage for mums with school children. The Dolphin also has a crèche open to the public. Please check with the centre for information.
Fees in 2010 are £37.00 per term of 12 weeks. There is also an annual membership fee of £10.

Ardingly College
Friday half hour lessons from 8.30 am to 10.00.
Fees are slightly lower at Ardingly, please check when enquiring about lessons. The annual membership fee applies per person, some swimmers swim at both venues.
